We are a congregation of the Church of Scotland in the Presbytery of Jedburgh. We are living, working, worshipping, serving and ministering in the community
of Burnfoot in Hawick in the Scottish Borders. - We believe
under God, that our church will be full and people will have an overwhelming sense of His presence through belonging to one
another as we join together in prayer and praise of the one and only True God. Our worship can take place anywhere or
at any time as long as it is in the Spirit and the truth of God.
- With the guidance of the Holy
Spirit our fellowship will be a committed and cheerful people, giving of our time, talents and money, humbly and willingly
in the love and service of others. By doing this we will be the Light of the Gospel in the world
- We have a growing faith in Jesus Christ and are willing to share it in love with all people and all ages. So,
we need to study the Bible. There should be many groups and fellowships regularly talking and learning about God.
We are willing to encourage, teach and help all who come.
- We will be an accepting people, recognising
all God's gifts and people with thanksgiving for we are a people who are governed by the Kingdom as we put others before
self.
- In our mission, we recognise we have been chosen by God and empowered to serve.
We all have potential and should use all our gifts, and we allow God's Spirit to strengthen us against all adversities
as we witness to His presence in our lives.
