Girls' Brigade

Girls' Brigade is a worldwide Christian Organisation for girls whose aim is to help and encourage girls to a Christian commitment and to create a caring environment which encourages the development of individual talents while meeting the needs of each member. Girls' Brigade provides a constructive programme to cater for girls from Primary 1 to Secondary 6, with the older girls having opportunities of leadership training and service to church and community. Activities include games, stories, puzzles and challenges to name a few.
Our girls Brigade meets on a Tuesday evening in the church at the following times:

Explorers (P1-3)    6.00 - 7.00pm
Juniors (P4-7)       7.15 - 8.15pm
Brigaders (S1-6)    6.00-7.00pm

Boys' Brigade

"The advancement of Christ's Kingdom among boys and the promotion of habits of obedience, reverence, discipline, self respect and all that tends towards a true Christian manliness"

The Boys' Brigade provides a balanced programme of activities for children and young people from 6 -18 years old. Resources have been developed to help volunteer youth leaders work in a relevant and creative way. Through these programmes the Boys' Brigade aims to make a positive contribution to a young persons life and be able to share something of their faith. Our Boys' Brigade meets on a Wednesday evening in Burnfoot Community School at the following times:

Anchor Boys(age 6 by 1st Sep) 6.00-7.00pm

Junior Section (age 8 by 1st Sep) 6.30-7.30pm

Company Section (age 11 by 1st Sep) 7.45-9.30pm

Friday Night fever

Aimed at children of Primary school age, we meet in the Church every Friday night of term time from 6.30-7.30pm for a sometimes rather noisy mixture of games, activities and fun that teaches the children about how much God loves each of us and how we should live our lives for His glory.

The Greenhouse

During our 11.15am service on a Sunday morning our younger children (aged up to 12) meet in "the Greenhouse" for stories, activities and games....... a place where we can grow together as we learn more about Jesus.

Youth Group

During our 11.15am service the youth group meets in "the Loft" to have some serious fun. Bible studies, interesting discussions, mad games and quizzes and sometimes even sweets to help with concentration, as we look at our daily walk with God and how we live our lives for His glory amidst the challenges of being a teenager.

Precious Gems

Our Precious Gems Toddlers and Carers group meets in the church on Mondays during term time, from 1.15 - 2.45pm. This group is for children 0-4 years and offers a safe and fun environment for children to play and take part in a variety of fun activities from building bricks to painting and glueing, with a lovely cup of tea for the carers.
