Charles J. Finnie has been in the ministry
of the Church of Scotland since 1990, having had over 6 years in a village in North Lanarkshire before coming to Hawick in
May 1997. During these past 11 years the good work established by previous ministries has continued and prepared
the ground for where we are presently, and where we are going in the future.
Charles is married to Lynne and they have three teenage children - Mark, Stephen and Anna.
Life in the Manse has not been the same since before Christmas when the black labrador puppy, now called Brock, arrived and
turned the world.... and the plates.... and the bins upside down!
Outside of parish work Charles enjoys riding his motorbike (the BMW R1100GS 75th Anny Ed
has now been replaced by the newer, bigger, more powerful 1150 Adventure!) and going away for weekends with other bikers,
some of whom are Christians, most of whom are not. In the last couple of years this has led to trips to The Gambia
with aid for a hospital and a clinic.
