Charles J. Finnie has been in the ministry
of the Church of Scotland since 1990, having had over 6 years in a village in North Lanarkshire before coming to Hawick in
May 1997. During these past 13 years the good work established by previous ministries has continued and prepared
the ground for where we are presently, and where we are going in the future.
Charles is married to Lynne and they have three teenage children - Mark, Stephen
and Anna.
Outside of parish work Charles enjoys riding his motorbike,
a silver BMW R1150 Adventure, and going away for weekends with other bikers, some of whom are Christians, most of whom
are not. In the last couple of years this has led to trips to The Gambia with aid for a hospital and a clinic.
And walking the dog - Brock, the black labrador - apparantly a healthy thing to do, even when it is pouring with rain...
He has also for the first time participated in some of the Common Riding rideouts.
